I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Notre Dame in a joint program through the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and the Department of Sociology. I have a master’s degree from the School of International Service at American University and a bachelor’s degree from George Fox University.

My research and teaching interests include nonviolent social movements and revolutions, political culture, social networks, and social theory.

Before transitioning into academia, I served as the deputy director of Nonviolence International in Washington, DC and a field team coordinator for Christian Peacemaker Teams in Iraq and Palestine.
